Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a method in the field of communication and personal development. It is defined as “the science concerned with making unconscious processes conscious”.
You could see NLP as a manual for your brain. Through different techniques, you will learn to communicate effectively with yourself and with others. Techniques that increase your personal effectiveness.
NLP offers concrete tools to gain insight into the behavior of ourselves and of others in order to change this behavior, if desired.
Do you have a question? We are ready for you.
NLP is the abbreviation for Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
With Neuro Linguistic Programming you will look at the unconscious processes of your brain, and then bring about a change with proven techniques. Using NLP techniques, you will work on changing both deep-seated beliefs and being able to bring about immediate change in your actions.
NLP is used for a variety of subjects. Everyone can have different reasons for using NLP… Maybe you want to improve your communication, learn to deal with stress, face challenges at work and in your career or just boost your self-confidence.
NLP originated in the 1970s when two young scientists, Dr. Richard Bandler and Dr. John Grinder, studied people who were remarkably successful in their fields. Bandler and Grinder set out to find structures that would make these people successful. They incorporated these structures into models and techniques, which could then be transferred to those who also wanted to be successful in that field. In this way, those structures were taught purposefully, quickly and effectively.
Yes. NLP is for anyone who wants to experience personal growth.
Being able to track and interpret eye movements is a typical NLP technique. In the NLP Practitioner training you become extremely proficient in observing others. Eye movements tell you whether someone is talking to themselves, remembering past events or not.
Since the emergence of NLP in the 1970s, there have been several studies examining the scientific evidence for this method. Besides the effectiveness of NLP in daily life, the effect of various techniques Neuro-Linguistic Programming has been scientifically supported. However, one major scientific study of NLP is difficult to do, given the many different tools and techniques and the many different variables in the use of these techniques. NLP as a whole is therefore not necessarily scientific.
